The PLACE Portfolio is a broad based service block covering services such as Streetforce, Environmental Protection, Pest Control, Trading Standards, Business Strategy, Health Protection, Transport & Highways, Licensing, Design & Project Management, Air Quality, Carbon Reduction, Parking Services, City Development, Activity Sheffield, The Arts, Parks & Countryside, Bereavement Services and Sustainable Development.
UNISON has 600 members in the PLACE directorate and is easily the largest of the three recognised trade unions. We have a wide network of activists who are supported by three Branch Convenors in Rod Padley, Angie Hall and Kath Spurr.
